Janet Brumm Memorial Fund

As a treasured asset in the Mankato disability community, Janet understood the value of having her daughter with disabilities participate as a client of LivingLinks. Janet passionately believed in providing opportunities for people with disabilities in the community. After Janet’s passing in the summer of 2015, funds were donated to honor her and continue her legacy with the clients of LivingLinks.

The goal of the fund is to serve as a resource for client needs and/or desires that would otherwise be out of reach due to client funding limitations.

Janet Brumm Memorial funds are used for two main purposes:

  1. To provide resources to the people LivingLinks supports so they can attend and participate in community events such as concerts, plays, festivals, out-of-town family events, etc.
  2. To provide funding for supportive leisure activity devices not covered by Medicaid or other insurance. Examples include: Able-Net buttons sensory stimulation devices, adaptive swing sets or tricycles, home modifications to improve accessibility to leisure items within the home such as modified light switches, adaptations to control TVs or computers, hospital beds, environmental control units, and other adaptive technology.
